Facundo Campazzo said in his recent interview that he hasn’t been obsessing with staying in the NBA and is always considering a return to Europe, especially if Real Madrid calls. However, the guard spoke up once again to remove any doubts.
“My priority 1, 2 and 3 is to continue in the NBA. For now, I don’t have in mind to return to Europe. It is obvious that at some point it will happen, but not now. I have it very clear: I want to try again, in whatever franchise it is, but to try again,” Campazzo said.
He averaged 3.2 points, 3.4 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per contest over 134 appearances in both the regular season and the playoffs throughout the 2021-22 campaign.
While his role with Denver diminished this season, he still has option on the other side of the Atlantic and his priority remains an NBA return.
For the moment, he is training with the Argentinian national team for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers, where he is expected to be the leader of his national team.
