The Cleveland Cavaliers are signing guard Darius Garland to a five-year, $193 million extension, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Including bonuses and perks, the deal could be worth up to 231 million and is the largest in the history of the Cavaliers.
Garland, the fifth overall pick of 20219, comes from his third year with the Cavs which has been his most productive so far. The 22-year-old guard averaged team-highs 21.7 points and 8.6 assists per game to lead the team to the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
He also became an All-Star for the first time in his career.
