Australian center Jock Landale is traded to the Phoenix Suns for cash considerations, according to multiple reports.
It comes just days after Landale was sent from San Antonio to the Hawks as part of a trade, following his rookie season with the Spurs in the wake of Australia’s Olympic bronze medal campaign.
The Suns had the best regular-season record in the NBA last season before reaching the western conference semi-finals.
Meanwhile Kevin Durant has asked for a trade and reportedly has Phoenix and Miami as his favoured destinations.
The addition of Landale will help fill a vacancy for Phoenix, who lost back-up centre JaVale McGee to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency and are exploring trade offers regarding their starting centre Deandre Ayton.
Landale averaged 4.9 points (49.5 FG per cent and 2.7 rebounds in 10.9 minutes over 54 games of action in San Antonio as a rookie.
