Free-agent Goran Dragic has agreed to sign a one-year, $2.9 million contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Dragic, 36, became an unrestricted free agent on Friday. A couple of days following the conclusion of his contract with the Brooklyn Nets, he played for the Slovenia national team alongside Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic and scored 20 points, including a couple of clutch shots down the stretch sending Slovenia to the road win versus Sweden. He was coming off a 19-point effort against Croatia.

Helping the senior team of his country improve to 4-2 and clinch a berth to the final round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers might have concluded his long international career, highlighted by lifting the 2017 EuroBasket trophy. He fell short of confirming his exit after Sunday’s game. However, his NBA career will be extended to a 15th season with the Bulls slated to become his sixth separate team.

Attached to the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets, Dragic has made his way to 948 games registering career averages of 13.8 points, 4.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest. Being named the NBA Most Improved Player and earning a spot the All-NBA Third Team in 2014 plus getting a nod for the 2018 All-Star Game shape the most important individual accolades.

Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas alongside GM Marc Eversley have already been busy earlier in the free-agency period. Zach LaVine earned the biggest contract in franchise history agreeing to a five-year, $215 million contract, including a player option.
