Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James feels completely healthy and is geared up for 2022-23 after spending the last stretch of the previous season on the sidelines due to an ankle sprain.
“I’m 100 percent healthy,” James said to ESPN during the first half of the pro-am Drew League game between his and DeMar DeRozan’s MMV Cheaters against Black Pearl Elite.
James had 42 points on 18-36 shots, plus 16 rebounds and four steals as his team won 104-102. It was his first Drew League game since 2011, when several pros participate in the matches also due to the NBA lockout.
In March, James sprained his left ankle during the second quarter of a 108-116 Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. He remained out of seven of his team’s last eight matches in the regular season.
