Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges is facing a jail sentence of up to 11 years and eight months if he’s convicted of domestic violence charges per Steve Reed of The Associated Press.
On June 29, Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles after his girlfriend and mother of his two children Mychelle Johnson accused him of assaulting her in front of the kids. The District Attorney filed charged Bridges with felony domestic violence and the player pleaded not guilty.
Bridges was charged with injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.
A preliminary hearing of the case is scheduled to take place on August 19. Bridges has been released after paying a 130,000 bond.
