The LA Clippers signed University of Michigan forward/center Moussa Diabate to a two-way contract. The French player was the 43rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

“Moussa is a young big with a high motor who runs the floor, crashes the glass, and defends multiple positions,” said Lawrence Frank, Clippers President of Basketball Operations. “His energy is infectious. We enjoyed getting to know him in the draft process and are excited to grow with him.”

Diabate averaged 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds during his freshman season at Michigan. The 6-foot-11 forward/center led the Wolverines in offensive rebounds (76) and ranked second in total rebounds (191), blocked shots (28), and FG% (54.2). The Paris, France, native was named to the 2021-22 Big Ten All-Freshman Team while helping the Wolverines to the Sweet 16 of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. A consensus five-star recruit, Diabate was a member of the Junior French National Team and selected to the McDonald’s All-American Game in 2021.
