Six-time NBA All-Star forward Blake Griffin is signing a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The 33-year-old player was a free agent after being with the Brooklyn Nets from March 2021 through the entire previous season.
With the Nets, Griffin played 56 games in 2021-22 and averaged 6.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 17.1 minutes.
Over the last couple of years, Griffin, a Slam Dunk contest champion in 2011, has been struggling with injuries. He underwent two surgeries on his left knee over nine months and missed the second half of the 2020-21 season.
