The Minnesota Timberwolves have placed Rudy Gobert in health and safety protocols making him unavailable for the game against Houston Rockets.

Gobert was listed as questionable before the match against Milwaukee Bucks last night but eventually played for more than 30 minutes, scoring seven points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a 102-115 loss.

Karl-Anthony Towns should take extra minutes, while Naz Reid and Taurean Prince are in line to take his place in the starting five.

The team from Minneapolis made a trade during the offseason, and for the French big man gave the Utah Jazz Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Leonardo Bolmaro, the No. 22 pick in the 2022 Draft Walker Kessler, and Jarred Vanderbilt, as well as four first-round picks.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year had 12,6 points and 11,7 rebounds per game as a Timberwolves player, and the idea of two 7-footers in the starting lineup was harshly criticized by Charles Barkley after not so promising start.

Minnesota opened the season with a 4-5 score and currently sits in 11th place in the Western Conference.
