NBA veteran center Kenneth Faried signed with the Austin Spurs in the G-League, per the San Antonio Spurs.
Faried spent the previous season in the G-League, playing for Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets’ affiliate team. The 32-year-old big man was previously was a member of EuroLeague powerhouse CSKA Moscow for two months.
Since he left CSKA, Faried has been trying to get back to the NBA. He had workouts with a couple of teams, including the Golden State Warriors but hasn’t managed to land a deal and return to the league for the first time after 2019.
Faried played in the NBA for eight years, averaging 11.4 points and 8.1 rebounds over 478 regular season games. He spent the bulk of his career with the Nuggets, from 2011 to 2018 and was last a member of the Houston Rockets.
