A quick trip from Los Angeles to his hometown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Chris Paul enjoyed the graduation ceremony Friday morning.
In the latest financial support and in addition to finally receiving a college diploma, he boosted the future of fellow graduates with a $2,500 gift to each youngster, per Marc J. Spears.

Paul, 37, played basketball at Wake Forest before turning pro. Revamping the pursuit of a degree, he enrolled in WSSU, a historically black public university, in 2020. And eventually graduated in interdisciplinary studies during Fall Commencement.
“Man it’s cool. I’m excited. Long time coming,” he commented before heading to North Carolina, per Duane Rankin.
The experienced point guard was coming off a 15-point, 13-assist double-double, seven rebounds, two steals, and one block as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday evening. He boarded the flight after helping his side snap a five-game losing streak and delivering one of his best performances in the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season. And proudly walked across the stage and also spent time with fellow graduates, just a few hours after the game on the opposite coast of the USA.
A lengthy career in the NBA, launched in 2005 and stretching across 1.312 games played between the Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Clippers, and New Orleans Hornets, plus a productive tenure as the president of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) from 2013 to 2021. CP3 was named an NBA All-Star in 12 seasons and All-Star Game MVP in 2013, besides helping Team USA win gold in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
