During the NBA Night, a lot of European centers registered double-doubles. Among them, Jonas Valanciunas helped the New Orleans Pelicans get the 113-93 victory against the Indiana Pacers.
The former Toronto Raptors player had 20 points and 12 rebounds, reaching the 300th double-double of his NBA career.
“Indiana is a very hard-playing team with a lot of energy. They are a high-paced team and we knew we had to do a better job defending them. Our defensive effort was the key. We have a deep roster of capable guys. That’s the beauty of our team: everybody wants to win”, Valanciunas said after the game.
The 30-year-old Lithuanian veteran is averaging 13.9 points and 9.4 rebounds shooting 52.8% from the field in the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season.
