Partizan Belgrade coach Zeljko Obradovic commented on the many games that his team will have to give in January, comparing the schedule to the NBA.

“This is the second game of January and there are 11 overall. Which means that you play every second or third day. The vice president [Brandon James] of the San Antonio Spurs was here and I told him that the EuroLeague is more and more like the NBA,” Obradovic said following the EuroLeague win of Partizan over AS Monaco.

Partizan is playing six EuroLeague matches in January since the upcoming week includes two rounds. The Serbian powerhouse has four more games for the ABA League this month after the victory over Zadar on 2/1.

“Everyone should be ready to help the team,” Obradovic had mentioned. “The momentum is good.” His Partizan is on a 7-0 streak overall competitions.

Obradovic also shut down some rumors that linked, among others, former No. 2 pick Jabari Parker with Partizan. He also questioned their source. “Information has been leaked before, you remember which names were mentioned… that is impossible,” the decorated coach said. “We know who is promoting these stories and where they come from. Let’s not pretend that we don’t know that.”
