After being announced as a starter in the 2023 All-Star Game, Luka Doncic suffered an ankle injury during the game against the Phoenix Suns, which was won 99-95 by the Mavericks on the road.

After the game, Dallas’ head coach Jason Kidd commented on the Slovenian phenomenon’s injury, which forced him to leave the court after just three minutes of playing time.

“He looked good, looked fine. But we’ll see how he feels as we go forward here. We’ll have probably more information once we get to Utah”, he said.

According to Chris Haynes on the TNT broadcast, an X-ray of Doncic’s left ankle was negative, so he should come back soon after awkwardly rolling his left ankle during a spin back movement.

Luka Doncic, whose ankle has been giving him issues for a few weeks, has been averaging 33 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game. The Dallas Mavericks are currently 6th in the Western Conference with a 26-24 record.
