During the NBA Night, Paolo Banchero helped the Orlando Magic beat the Charlotte Hornets. The 20-year-old Duke product had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, adding 5 assists and shooting 10/11 at the line in 35 minutes on the court.
With this stat line, as reported by Justin Kubatko in his NBA Game Notes, the Italian has now joined Shaquille O’Neal as the only rookie to record four such games in the Orlando Magic history. Moreover, he’s the only rookie to record such a game this season.
Paolo Banchero, who has been rumored to play with Italy in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, is averaging 20.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. The Magic (22-32) are 13th in the West.
