Los Angeles, CA – A new era in Dallas has begun. The Mavericks now have a second superstar to pair up with Luka Doncic. Kyrie Irving made his debut against the Clippers and had a team-high 24 points in a win in Los Angeles. After the game, Jason Kidd spoke to the media about his two best players.
Doncic did on-court work and received treatment in Dallas this week before flying to Los Angeles to join the Mavs midway through a five-game road trip. Kidd said it’s possible for Doncic to return for one game in the back-to-back against the Sacramento Kings on Friday and Saturday.
Then he talked about the co-existence of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.
“Both of them are going to be playmakers. I think this is a great challenge for Luka, and I think Luka is up for the challenge to show that he can play with another superstar,” Kidd said answering Eurohoops’ question.
Kyrie himself also talked on the issue to Eurohoops, explaining why Doncic is a unique player.
