Tyler Dorsey is no longer a player of the Texas Legends, the G League team announced Saturday (25/2). If he receives an offer, Dorsey is eligible to sign with any EuroLeague club while the deadline for the registration of new players expires on March 1.
Multiple EuroLeague teams expressed an interest in signing Dorsey when the player was cut by the Dallas Mavericks in December. Among them was his former team Olympiacos Piraeus, Fenerbahce Beko and AS Monaco, that offered him a lucrative deal.
In the end, Dorsey decided to exhaust his opportunities in the NBA. He worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers and then signed in the G League with the Legends.
In the 2021-22 EuroLeague, Dorsey averaged 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists as Olympiacos reached the Final Four.
