Apparently it didn’t take long for Goran Dragic to find his new team after he got waived by the Chicago Bulls. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the veteran guard is very close to signing with the Milwaukee Bucks and an agreement between the two sides may become formal by Friday (3/3).
Woj specifically reports that the Bucks immediately emerged as the biggest favorite to sign Dragic among contending teams that expressed an interest following his departure from the Bulls. Milwaukee and Dragic were previously in talks before he ultimately landed with the Brooklyn Nets on February 2022.
If a deal between the two sides is finalized, the 36-year-old Dragic will get a very strong opportunity to compete for a championship title alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. So far, the Slovenian player has had his deepest playoff run in 2020 when he reached the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat after eliminating Giannis and the Bucks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
ESPN Sources: The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as frontrunners to sign guard Goran Dragic. He has connected with a few contenders since Bulls waived him, but the East-leading Bucks have moved to forefront of reaching a deal with Dragic.
