Embiid and the 76ers cut Giannis and the Bucks’ 16-game winning streak

Behind Joel Embiid’s 31 points and 10 assists, the Philadelphia 76ers came behind an 18-point deficit to snap Milwaukee Bucks’ 16-game winning streak with a 133-130 victory.

Embiid gave the Sixers the crucial lead by scoring a three-point shot with 41,1 seconds to go, but James Harden was a top performer for Philadelphia with 38 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo couldn’t help the Bucks continue the longest winning streak in NBA this season with 34 points and 13 rebounds.

They went wherever they wanted to go, scoring from the paint, floaters, isos, offensive rebounds, free throws, 3s. You name it. They were able to get everything. We’ve got to be able to play 48 minutes of good basketball and defend for 48 minutes. This is a good lesson for us,” Antetokounmpo said.

Washington Wizards lost to Toronto Raptors 109-116 after overtime, despite a double-double from Kristaps Porzingis with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Jakob Poeltl had 14 points for the winning side, while British swingman OG Anunoby added six.

Cleveland Cavaliers had an easy job against Detroit Pistons, winning with a convincing 114-90, as Cedi Osman and Ricky Rubio scored five points, as well as Killian Hayes for the defeated side.

Miami Heat defeated Atlanta Hawks at home 117-109, as Clint Capela recorded a double-double for the losing team with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 13 points.

Houston Rockets took the 122-110 win in the Texas derby against San Antonio Spurs as Alperen Sengun recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Usman Garuba added 11 points for the Rockets, while Boban Marjanovic scored four. Jeremy Sochan had 14 points, and Sandro Mamukelashvili six in Spurs’ debut.

Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves played an interesting game in California, with the guests prevailing 138-134 behind Rudy Gobert’s 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Domantasa Sabonis also recorded a double-double, but his 24 points and 14 rebounds weren’t enough for Mike Brown’s team.
