With his 11th triple-double of the season and with the help of De’Aaron Fox’s game-winning buzzer-beater, Domantas Sabonis led the Sacramento Kings against the Chicago Bulls.
The Lithuanian center went in double-digits in three statistical voices for the second straight game, and he ended with 14 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists in 40 minutes spent on the court.
“You know Fox is the most clutch player out there. And Domas with his ability to bring to the table triple-double after triple-double after triple-double and we get a win, both those guys should be on an all-NBA team”, Mike Brown said after the win.
On the losing side, another European center provided a good performance, as Nikola Vucevic helped Chicago stay in the game until the end with a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Elsewhere in the league, Ivica Zubac had a solid contribution to the Clippers‘ home win against Golden State. The Croatian center had a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Nicolas Batum came off the bench with 6 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Alperen Sengun took off against the Los Angeles Lakers with the usual effective performance of 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. On the purple-and-yellow losing side, Dennis Schroder delivered 16 points coming off the bench.
Without both Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, Dallas still managed to take home the OT win against Sacramento, with Davis Bertans scoring 6 points off the bench. Sandro Mamukelashvili, recently praised by Gregg Popovich, went close to a double-double with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Minnesota lost to the Boston Celtics at home, but Rudy Gobert still had a good showing. The French big had a losing effort of 15 points and 6 rebounds in 29 minutes on the court.
