During the NBA Night, the Dallas Mavericks lost 127-125 at home against the Golden State Warriors. Despite the loss, Luka Doncic gave his best, spending 41 minutes on the court in his return game following five absences.
The Slovenian leader had a double-double of 30 points and 17 assists, adding 5 rebounds, and got upset with the referees at the end of the game. With seconds winding down in the fourth quarter and Golden State up by 3 points, the former Real Madrid player missed a layup but wanted a foul by Draymond Green to be called on him.
However, this was just considered a clutch play by the four-time NBA Champion and former Defensive Player of the Year. “The mood is not good, obviously. Every time you lose, it’s bad. We’ve got to focus on what’s next. We’ve got to be focused on winning”, he said after the loss. The Dallas Mavericks (36-37) dropped to the 9th position in the Western Conference, the third of four play-in spots.
