Porzingis and Avdija shined vs Boston, Wagner and Banchero’s 49 points not enough

Behind 32 points and 13 rebounds from Kristaps Porzingis, and 25 and 10 from Deni Avdija, Washington Wizards convincingly won at home against Boston Celtics, 130-111.

The Latvian shot 14-21 from the field, and had six assists with no turnovers. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo reached those numbers on 0 turnovers in a game this season.

Porzgingis once again played a crucial role in a Wizards win, and towards the end of the regular season he is leading Washington in points, rebounds, blocks, and free throws while averaging career-high in points with 23, and FG percentage with 49,4%.

Orlando Magic gave a good effort against Memphis Grizzlies, but couldn’t pull away a road win, 113-108.

Franz Wagner scored 25 points for the losing side, while Paolo Banchero had another double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Goga Bitadze also gave a good effort with 13 points and six rebounds, while Mo Wagner went scoreless in five and a half minutes, grabbing four boards.

For the Grizzlies, Santi Aldama had nine points and five rebounds.

Atlanta Hawks grabbed an important 120-118 win against Cleveland Cavaliers at home, with Clint Capela recording another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Bogdan Bogdanovic added 12 points for the winning side, while Ricky Rubio had nine and Cedi Osman three points for the Cavs.

Toronto defeated Miami Heat at home 106-92, with the British swingman O.G. Anunoby scoring 22 points. Jakob Poeltl had just two, but with 10 rebounds.

Aleksej Pokusevski returned to the court after couple of months, but didn’t make the scoring sheet of Oklahoma City Thunder in a 134-137 loss to Charlotte Hornets.

Ousmane Dieng and Dario Saric also didn’t score any points for the losing side, but the two Europeans played big roles for the guests.

Theo Maledon was an assist shy of a double-double with 19 points, while Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk scored 18 points and dished eight assists.

Behind 13 three-pointers from the Splash brothers, Golden State Warriors defeated New Orleans Pelicans 120-109.

The sole European player of the game, Jonas Valanciunas, almost had a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
