Following years of dominating the NBA with legends such as Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Kawhi Leonard, the San Antonio Spurs are living a new era with Jeremy Sochan as its main hope for the future.
In a recent conversation published on the Spurs’ official YouTube, Parker and Sochan spoke about the present, past, and future of the franchise of Texas coached by Gregg Popovich.
The French legend asked Sochan Popovich’s opinion on his constantly changing hair colors. “He’s cool with it”, he replied. “He’s changed, I don’t know if 25 years ago he would have let you do that. He was tough because when I arrived they just won one championship and he was very competitive and demanding”, Tony Parker followed.
Then, Tony Parker asked the Polish 19-year-old in which aspects he wants to improve his game. “I want to add consistency from the three-point line and of course my free throw: my percentages have gone up since I started shooting with one hand”, Jeremy Sochan added.
After Tony Parker shared his love for the Texan city, Jeremy Sochan agreed. “It gives me courage and excitement that this could be my home for a long long time. You came here at 19, I’m 19. We’ll see what happens but it’s really exciting”, the Polish talent commented on his potential future with San Antonio.
The Baylor Bears product is averaging 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs.
