During the NBA Night, the Orlando Magic managed to beat the Detroit Pistons 128-102, and Paolo Banchero helped by producing almost a double-double of 14 points and 9 rebounds. Before the start of the game, Dwane Casey spoke about the Italian rookie with nothing but good words.
“He is a few years ahead of himself. You look at him and you’d think he’s a 5-, 10-year vet. And this is his first year. The future is bright for that young man. It’s going to be tough for the league the rest of his career”, the Detroit Pistons head coach said on the Duke product.
In his first NBA Regular Season, Paolo Banchero has been averaging 20.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 42.7% from the field per game. The 20-year-old was named Rookie of the Month in December, January, and February.
