During the NBA Playoffs Night, the Denver Nuggets took down the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-80 in Game 1 of their First Round series, with Nikola Jokic being as usual the all-around leader of Mike Malone’s team.
The Joker ended the encounter with a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds, adding 6 assists and shooting 6/12 from the field. He definitely won the duel with Rudy Gobert, who went close to a double-double with 8 points and 13 rebounds but attempted only five shots during the game.
Other than Denver’s victory, the Miami Heat defeating Milwaukee, and the Lakers taking down Memphis, also the Los Angeles Clippers began their 2023 Playoffs run, beating the Phoenix Suns 115-110 on the road in Game 1.
Kawhi Leonard led the way scoring 38, and Ivica Zubac contributed to his team’s win with a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds in 30 minutes on the court. On the losing side, Kevin Durant went really close to a triple-double with 27 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds.
