Miami Heat took a 2-1 lead over Milwaukee Bucks in the first-round NBA playoff series but unfortunately lost Vicor Oladipo for the season due to a knee injury, as Shams Charania reported.
The MRI showed Oladipo has a torn patellar injury and will require his third major surgery in just over four years.
He got injured with less than four minutes left on the clock of Game 3, as Miami led 112-88. The 31-year-old guard drove down the lane, getting past two defenders, then appeared to slip as he tried to plant for his jump and grabbed his knee right away as he landed.
Oladipo’s is the second significant injury for the Heat in the first three games of this postseason against Milwaukee, as Tyler Hero was lost for at least six weeks when he broke his right hand in Game 1 at Milwaukee.
Victor Oladipo played 42 games in the regular season for the Heat, averaging 10,7 points, 3,5 assists, and three rebounds. During his two playoff appearances, he had 11,5 and 3,5 rebounds per game, but it seemed he would assume a more prominent role after Hero’s, as it looks, also season-ending injury.
