On Thursday, there was a school shooting in Serbia that led to 8 children being killed. Following the touching and emotional scenes that occurred in the Stark Arena before the tipoff of the EuroLeague Playoffs Game 4 between Partizan Belgrade and Real Madrid, also Nikola Jokic talked about it.
“It’s something, as far as I remember, never happened in Serbia. I’m really sorry about everything families are going through. Something that you don’t want to hear about it. I was also surprised, I thought we didn’t have that mindset, maybe that’s not true. We need to take care of everybody, especially if somebody is not well, asking as you mean it. Maybe it’s gonna help”, he said.
The Denver Nuggets superstar follows Luka Doncic, who has announced he will take action through his foundation to contribute for starters by paying for their funeral services. “I am heartbroken by the tragic school shooting in Serbia and the loss of lives, including those of innocent children. My thoughts are with the families and the entire community affected by this tragedy“, the Dallas Mavericks superstar shared on social media announcing this helpful initiative.
