The NBA announced All-Rookie teams for the 2022-23 season, with Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero from Orlando Magic expectedly leading the way with a maximum of 100 votes.
Banchero was the only rookie to be unanimously named to the first team. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Jalen Williams was close, earning 99 out of 100 First Team votes, while Walker Kessler from Utah Jazz received 95 of 100 votes for the First Team.
Joining the three Rookie of the Year finalists on the First Team are Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray and Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin, who both played significant roles for their respective teams all season.
The All-Rookie Second Team comprises standout players from the bottom three teams in the league this season. The Detroit Pistons rookie duo of Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren were the first players left off the First Team. No. 3 overall pick Jabari Smith Jr. from Houston Rockets cracked the second team alongside his teammate Tari Eason.
Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan rounds out the list after playing in an all-around role for San Antonio all year.
