The Golden State Warriors exited the 2023 NBA Playoffs, but the Draymond Green Show continues with the experienced forward discussing plenty of topics.

Reacting to the Denver Nuggets earning a 1-0 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals best-of-seven series, he mentioned the Spanoulis action helping the team coached by Michael Malone with Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Michael Porter Jr. hitting crucial three-pointers in Game 1. Far from an unusual situation, multiple NBA teams drawing variations of the move enriched their respective playbooks over the years.

From presenting Spanoulis to his viewers and labeling him as a Greek legend, Green went on to the move. “He was famous for this cut,” he introduced the description, “He would essentially come from under the rim and you are cutting up the lane and there is a big holding the ball, maybe at the free-throw line, possibly at a little higher, but right in the middle of the court. And you are coming from under the rim, so up the floor, and the big hands it off to you. As you would imagine, all the defense is down the floor, So, once you hand off coming out, you are open.”

Spanoulis, 40, made his way to 32 NBA games with the Houston Rockets with a legendary playing career focused in Europe coming to an end in 2021. He has since switched to head-coaching duties taking over Peristeri bwin last June.
