Getting a job in the NBA, Bryan George is set to join forces with Quin Snyder at the Atlanta Hawks.

George, 35, penned a three-year contract with the Hawks, according to L’Equipe.

At LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne since 2020, a team located in a suburb of Lyon and controlled by French legend Tony Parker, he worked as an assistant under head coach T.J. Parker, brother of the four-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs. Previous jobs stretch to other French clubs, Elan Bearnais Pau Lacq-Orthez in 2019-20 and Nanterre 92 starting from the youth division to jumping to the senior club as head video coordinator from 2017 to 2019.

Over the last six years, George has also been a video coordinator for France’s senior national team. Focusing on international duties, following the conclusion of ASVEL’s 2022-23 campaign in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Betclic Elite LNB Pro A, he is getting ready for this summer’s FIBA World Cup.

The Hawks have been following the French coach and eventually decided to offer him a job combining the responsibilities of the video coordinator with player development in Atlanta, as confirmed by the latest update on his status.

Besides the projected addition, Igor Kokoskov recently put more European touch to the coaching staff of the Hawks. The Serbian coach previously worked under Snyder from 2015 to 2018 at the Utah Jazz. Synder himself spent the 2012-13 season as the top assistant of CSKA, under Ettore Messina.
