NBA teams can officially begin negotiating contracts with players at midnight CET, marking the start of free agency. Multiple reports, including from NBC’s Monte Pool and ESPN’s Marc J. Spears, suggest a potential collaboration between Dario Saric and the Warriors. According to Spears, the Croatian forward is high on Golden State‘s wish list.
The 2022 NBA champions are reportedly interested in signing swingmen and frontcourt players who can shoot, preferably at minimum deals. Saric, as a seven-year veteran and unrestricted free agent, appears to fit the profile.
In 2020, Saric signed a three-year deal worth $27,000,000 with the Phoenix Suns. However, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February and did not complete the contract in Arizona.
During his time with the Thunder, the former Philadelphia and Minnesota player averaged 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds. As a member of the Suns earlier in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 5.8 points and 3.8 rebounds.
