Free agent forward Draymond Green has agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract with a player option in the final season to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors on the first day of free agency per multiple sources.
Draymond Green played college basketball for the Michigan State Spartans before being selected by the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft with the 35th overall pick. Since joining the Warriors, he has become one of the key players in their successful run, helping the team win multiple NBA championships.
Green is known for his versatility and defensive prowess. He has the ability to play multiple positions, including power forward and center, and is often tasked with guarding players across different positions due to his strength, quickness, and basketball IQ. Green’s defensive skills have earned him recognition, and he has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team multiple times.
While Green’s offensive game is not as prominent as his defensive skills, he is still an important contributor to the Warriors’ success. He is known for his passing ability, court vision, and high basketball IQ. Green often serves as a facilitator on offense, making smart decisions with the ball and setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities.
In addition to his accomplishments with the Warriors, Draymond Green has also represented the United States in international basketball competitions. He was a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. basketball team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
