The Sacramento Kings and center Alex Len have agreed to a one-year, 3.2 million deal according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The 30-year-old Ukrainian big man is signing the veteran’s minimum contract to remain in Sacramento for 2023-24.
Len played 26 games in the 2022-23 season and posted 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 6.2 minutes in the regular season. He saw his playing time getting increased in the playoffs, getting 12.4 minutes and averaging 4.5 points and 5.5 rebounds against the New York Knicks in the Kings‘ first postseason games since 2006.
The Kings and coach Mike Brown seem to continue trusting in Len as a reliable option off the bench and a big man who can provide toughness and defense when he’s on the floor.
Len joined the Kings for his second stint with them as a free agent in 2021. He has also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors the Phoenix Suns.
