Marko Simonovic is being waived by the Chicago Bulls according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Montenegrin forward/center had signed a three-year deal with the Bulls in 2021 after they selected him with the 44th overall pick.
The most likely scenario for 23-year-old Simonovic at the moment seems to be a return to Europe.
Simonovic averaged just 3.4 minutes over 16 games during his stint with Chicago and was busy mostly in the G League with the Windy City Bulls. Last season he posted 15.9 points and 9.9 rebounds over 25 G-League appearances.
The Bulls acquired Simonovic following a strong season he had in ABA League with 15.8 points and 9.0 rebounds as a player of Mega Basket.
