The Oklahoma City Thunder officially signed Vasilije Micic. As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on July 1, Micic’s contract spans three years and is worth $23.5 million.
Micic, 29, joins the Thunder after an impressive four-season stint with Anadolu Efes, where he showcased his skills in 34 games last season, averaging 16.1 points, 5.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game over 62 appearances between the continental and domestic leagues.
Serbian international boasts an outstanding record with two EuroLeague championships in 2021 and 2022, and three Turkish League championships in 2019, 2021, and 2023. Additionally, he earned the prestigious EuroLeague MVP title in 2021.
The Thunder acquired Micic’s draft rights from the Philadelphia 76ers during the Al Horford trade in 2020. He was originally selected as the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft.
