One of the most anticipated duos in the whole NBA is the one composed by Joel Embiid and James Harden in Philadelphia.

As the two couldn’t give the 76ers a championship run in the 2023 Playoffs, being eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, rumors about this combination being split up are starting to be louder and louder. However, the President of the Philadelphia 76ers shut them down talking to 97.5 FM.

“If we don’t get either a very good player or something we can turn into a very good player, we are not going to do it”, Daryl Morey said about a potential trade regarding James Harden, before giving advice. “Try not to focus too much on the roster in July”, he added.

A few days ago, Joel Embiid said that he just wants “to win a championship, whatever it takes. I don’t know where that’s going to be, whether it’s in Philly or anywhere else”. Now, the Philadelphia 76ers President commented on his statements. “He wants to win it here. He wants to win it for Philly. We need to make sure Joel Embiid, one of the best players on earth, has a top running mate”, Daryl Morey also said on the dominating center with American and French citizenships.

The dominating center put up a crazy stat line of 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, being named the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season MVP. The former Houston Rockets guard, instead, averaged a double-double of 21.0 points and 10.7 assists, while grabbing 6.1 rebounds per game.
