Denver Nuggets forward Vlatko Cancar was operated on his left knee and will stay out of action indefinitely, the club announced. Cancar suffered a torn ACL injury during a preparation game of his Slovenia against Greece earlier in August.
Per Nuggets:
Nuggets forward Vlatko Čančar underwent surgical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is out indefinitely and additional updates will be provided as necessary.
Cancar was injured when he awkwardly landed on the floor following a dunk and left the court in pain. A day afterward (5/8) Slovenia announced that the 26-year-old player tore his ACL and will miss the 2023 World Cup.
