Christian Wood reportedly reached a two-year agreement to join the Los Angeles Lakers, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.

Notably, the second season of this contract includes a player option, which could grant Wood the flexibility to explore free agency again next summer.

Last summer, Wood was traded to Dallas, but despite having some bright moments, it was a season of disappointment, as the Mavericks posted a 38-44 record and failed to make the playoffs. Wood averaged 16.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Wood went undrafted in 2015 but got to prove himself with Philadelphia. He later played in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, and Houston before joining Dallas. He also spent a certain amount of time in the G League.

Danny Green returning to Philadelphia

After a season spent between the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers, Danny Green is reportedly returning to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Wojnarowski.

He spent two years with the Sixers after winning two consecutive Championships with Toronto Raptors and LA Lakers. He will have a chance to work again with coach Nick Nurs, as they won the NBA title back in 2019 with Toronto.

During Game 6 of the Sixers’ 2022 Eastern Conference playoff series against Miami, the three-time NBA champion suffered a torn left ACL and LCL. Subsequently, he was traded to Memphis during the offseason.

Green is one of only three players, along with James Harden and Chris Paul, to have participated in at least one game in every postseason since 2011, as per research by ESPN Stats & Information. Therefore, he brings considerable value to the determined Philadelphia team, led by the reigning MVP from last season, Joel Embiid.
