According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, James Harden hasn’t shown up at the 2023-24 NBA Media Day for the Philadelphia 76ers, remaining upset at the organization for not having moved him somewhere else. The former Houston Rockets player previously called Daryl Morey a “liar”, also stating he “will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of”.

The 34-year-old shooting guard, still according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, could be subject to a fine for missing media day. Moreover, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers have been talking recently over a possibility to work something out, but nothing trade-related as of now.

The Sixers leave for Colorado later today for several days of training camp at Colorado State University. The Sixers and Clippers have talked recently but there doesn’t appear to be any traction on a trade, sources said.

In the 2022-23 season, James Harden averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game with the Philadelphia 76ers, helping the franchise get to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they eventually lost 4-3 against the Boston Celtics.

Prior to his move to Philadelphia in February 2022, James Harden represented the Oklahoma City Thunder – he was selected there with the 3rd overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft -, the Houston Rockets, and the Brooklyn Nets in his NBA career.
