The Victor Wembanyama show is definitely on. The 19-year-old potential generational talent stepped on the court once again for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA preseason against the Miami Heat and led his team to the victory with what looked like a veteran performance.
Being the highest scorer on his team with 23 points, he also grabbed 4 rebounds, shared 4 assists, and provided 3 blocks, shooting 10/15 from the field for Gregg Popovich’s squad. All this dribbling the ball like a guard and playing on the perimeter most of the time.
It was a pretty good night for his other two European teammates, as Jeremy Sochan and Cedi Osman both contributed with 10 points each to their team’s 120-104 victory. The Polish forward added 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while the Turkish slasher had 5 assists in the win. Coming off the bench, the Georgian Sandro Mamukelashvili had 6 points and 3 rebounds.
In Los Angeles, the Golden State Warriors beat the Lakers 129-125 with an impressive scoring showing by Jonathan Kuminga, who ended the encounter with 26 points. Coming off the bench, Dario Saric had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals for his new team.
