The Minnesota Timberwolves have placed Vit Krejci on waivers, according to the transactions log of the NBA.

Krejci, 23, signed with the Timberwolves in early September. However, he missed the cut for the roster to start the 2023-24 Regular Season. He reportedly inked an Exhibit 10 contract. The automatic attached bonus for playing in the G League makes him a likely candidate to end up with the affiliated Iowa Wolves.

The Czech swingman was featured in 59 NBA games between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks over the previous two seasons. He also played in 17 games of the G League across stints with the Oklahoma City Blue and the College Park Skyhawks.

He was selected by the Washington Wizards with the 37th overall pick of the 2020 NBA draft and traded to the Thunder, one year before jumping to the NBA ahead of the 2021-22 season. Before the 2022-23 season, he was traded to the Hawks.

After being waived by the Hawks in August and joining the Timberwolves in September, he was limited to one seven minutes of action in the 2023 Preseason due to an injury in his left hand. He registered four points, two rebounds, and one assist in the lone appearance.

The youth product of Casademont Zaragoza represented Czechia in the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament during the offseason. Other senior international experience stretches from the 2022 EuroBasket to the Qualifiers of the 2019 and 2022 editions of EuroBasket.
