Adjusting to the NBA certainly includes dealing with unfavorable outcomes in games. Accordingly, San Antonio Spurs young star Victor Wembanyama views the loss by a margin of 40 points to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the learning process.

“Every game is incredible as a rookie, but we got to focus on certain things,” he reacted to visiting Los Angeles to face the Clippers on the first edition of NBA Sundays in the 2023-24 Regular Season.

“There is a lot of talent against us but it should not be an excuse,” he added.

The French prodigy went for 11 points behind 4/10 from the field and 3/6 free throws in Crypto.com Arena. Struggles expanding across the team led the hosts to a commanding position for the win.

“We are young. We have a long way to go. But we got to keep pounding the rock,” said Wemby.

“I would not see any reason to be frustrated three games into the season but it is a learning experience for a lot of us,” he further explained, “The good thing is once we got back into the locker room after the game, we started looking back on ourselves, nobody put his head down. We are learning. Just consistency. Pounding the rock.”

The team coached by Gregg Popovich sits at 1-2. A couple of away games against the Phoenix Suns set up matchups with Kevin Durant and more NBA stars on Tuesday and Thursday.
