After serving a five-game suspension issued by the NBA following the incident involving French center Rudy Gobert, Draymond Green attended team practice on Sunday, rejoining the Golden State Warriors.

During a media session, he was asked to comment on Gobert’s reaction to the altercation. A 16-second pause highlighted his response. “It is 2023. You say everything these days,” he pointed out before remaining silent and thinking about it. He then asked reporters whether ‘no comment’ was a comment to move on in the press conference.

Gobert, 31, accused him of getting ejected on purpose following the game in Target Center on November 14.

“I don’t live my life with regrets,” Green rejected any kind of remorse for his actions, leading to the league suspension, “I’ll come to a teammate’s defense any time that I’m in a position to come to a teammate’s defense.”

“What matters to me is how the people that I care about feel, first and foremost. How are the people that I care about affected? How are the people I care about, what do they have to deal with? That’s it for me,” he added.

The Warriors currently carry an 8-9 tally in the 2023-24 Regular Season. Up next is a visit at the Golden 1 Center and the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Averaging 8.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per contest before the suspension, the four-time NBA champion returning will be eligible for the team coached by Steve Kerr.
