A fast start at the Barclays Center shaping a 35-19 lead for the Chicago Bulls at the end of the first quarter quickly turned into yet another disappointing evening.

Down to 5-13 in the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season, Nikola Vucevic initially predicted more wins. He discussed struggling to reach success following the loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday“It’s not what we expected, and it’s not what we thought it would be,” he confessed.

“It’s not fun at all. Nobody likes losing. Definitely not fun,” established the Montenegrin center, “We put ourselves in that position, and we’re the only ones that can get us out of it.”

“We will stick together, keep trying to find a way to do it,” he added, “The longer it takes, the harder it is going to get. We can turn it around. It is all we can do. There is nothing else we can do.”.

Vucevic, 33, was held to six points, nine rebounds, and five assists over 35 minutes on NBA Sundays.

“We don’t do a good enough job communicating to each other,” he pointed out one of the reasons behind the poor start, “Even if it’s wrong, we have to honor the person who feels that that’s the right call. We have to do a better job of being on the same page.”

In his 13th NBA campaign, Vucevic has produced 15.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest over 18 games played, all starts.
