Dallas Mavericks‘ Luka Doncic and Milwaukee Bucks‘ Giannis Antetokounmpo were named NBA Players of the Week in the Western and Eastern Conference respectively.
Doncic averaged 36.8 points, 11.5 assists and 8.0 rebounds while the Mavericks went 3-1 during that period. Antetokounmpo had 36.0 points (including scoring franchise-record 64 points in a win over the Indiana Pacers), 12.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists to keep the Bucks undefeated through four games.
Surprisingly enough, this is the first time this season that either Luka or Giannis claim Player of the Week. Denver Nuggets‘ Nikola Jokic is the only other European player to win it this season, on Week 1.
