Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are currently red-hot. At Fiserv Forum, they seem unstoppable with 15 straight wins, and even on the road, they continued their winning streak.
Led once again by the Greek Freak, the Bucks notched their seventh straight victory and their overall 22nd of the season (the most in the league), defeating the New York Knicks at the Garden with a score of 111-130.
While Giannis wasn’t as spectacular as usual, he still proved too much for the Knicks‘ defense, hitting 11 out of 17 shots from the field, with a stat line of 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
The Knicks lacked bodies under the rim with Mitchell Robinson and Jericho Sims out, and Antetokounmpo used it to his advantage to once again lead the Bucks in scoring and assists (tied with Damian Lillard at seven).
Bobby Portis once again provided the spark from the bench, recording his third 20/10 game of the season, finishing the match with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Khris Middleton added 20 points, while Lillard and Malik Beasley contributed 19 each.
The hosts, who handed an NBA debut to recently signed Ukrainian center Dmytro Skapintsev, couldn’t prevail even with Jalen Brunson doing his thing and scoring 36 points for the night. Julius Randle followed with 26 points, while German international Isaiah Hartenstein had a double-double with 12 points and 13 assists.
