Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo have been named the NBA Players of the Month for December in the West and the East respectively.
The two-time Kia MVP led the Bucks to an 11-2 month with averages of 32.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists.
He posted a career-high 64 points in a win over the Pacers on Dec. 13.
This is Giannis’ 10th career Conference Player of the Month award as Milwaukee is emerging again in the East as a title contender.
In the previous month, there was also representation from Europe with Nikola Jokic winning the award in the West for October/ November.
