Looking to repeat the recent success of a docuseries “Quarterback” centered on the NFL, Netflix is expanding to the NBA readying a similar project.

The plan was reported by The Athletic on Wednesday. The Lithuanian leader of the Sacramento Kings Domantas Sabonis alongside LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves will be featured in the docuseries, as noted.

As reported, James’ SpringHill Company will be involved in the project, along with former US President Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and NFL legend Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions.

The name of the series is still unknown, as well as the release date.

The new series will join the growing list of very successful basketball documentaries, with Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” and the story of the 2008 US Olympic Men’s Basketball team, “The Redeem Team,” being the latest stand-out sports series for the popular streaming platform.
