Danilo Gallinari is traded by the Washington Wizards to the Detroit Pistons together with Mike Muscala in exchange for Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers and two second-round picks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Gallinari, 35, is on an $6.8M expiring contract and averaged 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14.8 minutes over 26 games this season with the Wizards before he was moved to the Pistons.
This season marked Gallinari’s return to action after being sidelined for the entire 2022-23 due to a torn ACL injury. The veteran forward was hurt during a 2023 World Cup Qualifiers game with the Italian national team in September 2022, shortly before the EuroBasket.
Gallinari has career averages of 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 754 games through 13 seasons in the NBA.
The Pistons and Wizards are finalizing a deal to trade Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers, and two second-round picks for forwards Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala, sources tell ESPN.
