Four straight defeats dropped the Sacramento Kings to 23-18 in the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season. Building a triple-double streak in the losing efforts, Domantas Sabonis is eager to bounce back in the next game.
From wrapping up a five-game road trip with three losses in a row, the Kings returning to Golden 1 Center was met with yet another loss on Wednesday. Despite Sabonis posting a third consecutive triple-double, his side was bested by the Indiana Pacers.
“There are plenty of games in this losing streak that we could have won,” noted the Lithuanian big after the meeting with his former team from 2017 to 2022.
“There are moments that we let go. If the moment gets too big. Whatever it is,” he added attempting to explain team showings, “We just do not play our normal defense. We have to figure out a way to get back into the game quicker.”
“A loss like this, it should sting,” said head coach Mike Brown, “I know that we can be a better defensive team than what we are. So it has to start there because we are going to figure out a way to score.”
Up next is a home game versus the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
“We just need to go out there and win. It is all talk now. It is four games we dropped. We can not have a fifth one,” stressed Sabonis, “We should have figured it out by now.”
